Here are some kitties that I have been working on :)

So I discovered that sewing complicated 3 dimensional animal patterns is totally overrated and frustrating. I have been putting in a lot of effort figuring out how to sew stuffed animals and modify patterns to make them simple give them more of my style. Three dimensional shapes are not my calling and I wasn't really enjoying making them either. I like making stuff that is simple and I can finish in a short amount of time, I just get impatient I guess.
Anyway, when I am trying to work out thoughts in my head I like to doodle. My Rob was looking trough some of my doodle filled scrap papers, and said "Why don't you make this," pointing to a squiggly shaped fox that I had drawn out. I asked him what he meant. He said, "just draw this on some fabric and sew the two halves together." At first I thought that sounded kinda boring. I tried it anyway and I found my calling.
The finished the fox looked great! I suddenly realized that I had been over complicating my creations for far too long, and a simple doodle could come to life as a unique cute stuffed animal, pillow or whatever.
When I finished I showed "the Rob" the fox, the first few words, "Wow, really awesome Freestyle". Thank you Rob for being a genius. And that is how my freestyle plush characters were born! So, technically, most of the credit goes to Rob.
